green "thing"

what is the green "thing" below the red star in the middle of the image? It appears to be connectd to the star by a thin line. is it a viewing artifact or something real?

it's a green knot. The red star is a planetary nebula.

A galaxy with a really luminous centre that just happens to be aligned with the star? Nah...

Strange beam, looks like a flare. Is it possible were getting a kind of flare effect from the instrumentation/lens. Zoom in and it pixelates
