Strange Acorn-like object

  In the bottom right area of this picture there is a interesting object in the shape of a acorn. Does anyone know what it is? I've marked it as other.

  Also, what is the dark red star looking thing in this photo? I also marked it as other.

  I think it's a star cluster. The stars all look to be multiple stars in this shot. The red things looks to me like just another fuzzy red object.
