blocked out rectangular red areas

  What are these areas? Why are they red? Can we see a 'google map' kind of thing for what we are doing, where it is possible to zoom in or out?

  Maybe the part of the image cut off when the composite was formed. Or close to the cutoff where distortion or artifacts might occur.

  I've read it's where one of the data sources has no data, so a full composite can't be made.
