This is so compact and neat. Why?

I've just realised that this is very similar to suelaine's LBV, but without vast clods around it. Is it another LBV or the same one, but a different image?

Well noted - I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm at a meeting at the moment but I'm going to download the data as soon as I'm back home!

OK I managed to get the data already. Yes, this star was included in a list of candidate LBVs by scientists looking for these distinctive bubbles (paper here). There seems to be a team based in the US and Russia who are systematically following these up, but no results have been published on this particular one. Their early results seem to indicate that these bubbles are all associated with LBVs and Wolf-Rayet stars (a similar late evolutionary stage for very massive stars).

Thank you for the feedback. I've downloaded the references you provided and I'll hopefully digest them tomorrow. This is a steep learning curve!
