    Thanks galaxywanderer. I had a quick look in SIMBAD and although this seems to be quite an active region of star formation, there's no known or candidate LBVs in this field. Other types of objects, like planetary nebulae or young stars, can have a similar appearance - I suspect that's what's going on here.
