It is a candidate Young Stellar Object. A young stellar object (YSO) is an "embryonic" or "infant" star that is still gathering matter from a surrounding cloud of gas and dust. In these images, these objects appear like very bright "red" stars. The "red" comes from the dusty envelope surrounding the infant star.
