  I marked the left a Green knot and the right a galaxy

  The "reddish" object to the right is actually a bright star (objects that are "ringed" like this are typically stars or protostars.)

  A galaxy will appear fainter and probably more extended.

  A good rule of thumb if you see something that looks interesting but you're not sure is to mark it as "other". These regions can be very crowded and confusing!
