Hi isla14680! Welcome to the Milky Way 😃 The these are different emission regions within the same nebula. It's useful to be able to separate out the different wavelengths of light within the infrared images so a colour scheme has been chosen to allow the scientists to do this. So to answer your question 😃 the green gas represents a wavelength of 4.5 microns and pink (from a previous comment by a team member) represents neutral rather than ionised gas.
