Dark object in front of bright star. Any ideas?

    If you mean the black spot in the centre - that's an optical artifact. Very bright stars do weird things to the optics and this is the result. That's a fine example of one too. (I've added it to my collection!) 😃

    It is just an artifact caused by over saturation ! But you are more than welcome to favourite it ! 😄
