Dark green mass

Can anyone tell me what the dark green nebula within the nebula is? thank you

I think they are stars. Not too sure why they are green but we have seen green stars before on some images as a result of oversaturation. There is also a dark nebula inbetween the stars and the pink gas. This is a patch of dense gas and dust which is not illuminated.
