Want to draw a little attention to this one, I see a few odd things in this image.

  • Coriferous by Coriferous

    For starters it looks like there are multiple very bright stars in a tight cluster which just happens to be located in a bubble. If you look at the top right area of the dust cloud it has a condensed strip that looks like it might be a bow shock to me. Finally, the dust on the bottom left of the cloud has odd streaks that remind me of pillars of light coming through a cloud or something similar.

    Yes, there is a lot of star formation in that knot! Sometimes, bubbles do trigger knots of star formation and you can mark these with the hash tag #triggered. This is the science team's explanation. I don't see a bow shock but if you think there is one it's fine to classify it as such.
