What's the bright structure right next to the "black hole" artifact at the top of the image? It reminds me of Eta Carinae.

Tricky to say at that resolution. Could be an extension of the artifact from the bright star's diffraction spikes.

New to classifying. Looks like a star cluster. Thoughts?

Dusty star forming region certainly with a foreground bright Milky Way star.

I'm new to this site and I found this Image when I was identifying the Milky Way. Can someone explain what this is?

It's a bright oversaturated foreground star with diffraction spikes in front of a much more distant star forming cloud. Cool image. 😃

I would say there's a young open cluster forming? near the center of the image, but slightly upper right.

Maybe 2MASS images can reveal this potential open cluster better. Its located inside the "cloudy" region a bit below the bright star.

Top center...Any input on this bright star? possibly?

The green centre & diffraction spikes are camera artifacts. Cameras are calibrated for tenuous MW dust & bright stars cause oversaturation,

See the comments below : the dark centre of the star is an artifact, caused by oversaturation.
